Getting the Starlink sale price from a different area?

I noticed that some areas on the Starlink website are offering a $200 discount on the new dish when signing up for the Residential plan.

I’m mainly looking to use Starlink while camping in different locations. I assume the Roam plan would be the better fit for that kind of mobile use, but the current discount only applies to the Residential plan. I’ve seen a few people mention that it’s possible to switch plans right after activation—can anyone confirm?

Also, I’m located in TN, where the discount doesn’t seem to be available. If I shipped the dish to a friend’s address in a city where the sale is available, and then brought it back, would that cause any issues with activation or service?

If you change your service plan from Residential to Roam, you'll lose the $200 discount. Starlink will bill you for it. The same applies if you change your Residential service address outside of the promotional area. Or if you cancel service within the first 30 days.
