Any Way to Manually Update Firmware?

Hello everyone,

I have a Starlink V2 dish that has been sitting unused in my garage for over a year. I recently tried to power it up, but I keep getting a message saying “Starlink software is outdated.”

I’ve left it running for several days, hoping it would update itself, but it keeps rebooting every 30 minutes or so and never completes the update. Unfortunately, I’m not located too far from civilization, but getting a new dish isn’t ideal, and I’d really like to get this one back to life if possible.

My question is: Is there any way to manually update the firmware on a Starlink V2 kit?

Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You might be able to do a sideload update:

Connect to the WiFi. Open the Starlink app.
Scroll down and tap Advanced.
Scroll all the way down and tap Debug data.
All the way down you'll find the sideload section. If sideload is available you'll see a button to update the dish.

If that doesn't work I would create a support ticket. There is a chance that Starlink sends you a brand new kit for free.
