Problem Starlink Mini Vs Jackery Explorer 100 Plus

Hello everyone,

I’m having an issue with my Starlink Mini when I power it using my Jackery Explorer 100 Plus. The Starlink is definitely getting power from the Jackery (the dish warms up on the surface, as usual) and I can see it drawing 40W on the Jackery.

After 10/15/20 minutes, the Wi-Fi never appears and I can’t connect to the dish. However, when I use my Samsung 65W charger and plug the Starlink into it with the same USB → Starlink power cable, the dish and Wi-Fi work perfectly in less than 3 minutes.

I live in France, and I’d like to know whether the technical specifications of the Jackery Explorer 100 for France are different from those in the USA, because from what I can see, powering the Starlink Mini with the Jackery seems to work fine over there. Or is there a specific “technical procedure” that needs to be done on the Jackery to make it work?

9/10 times it's the cable, but based on what you said about trying the same cable with another USB-C port, you may just have a bad Jackery unit. Are you using the Starlink brand USB-C cable? If so, do you see a red LED light on the connector that plugs into the Jackery? Also, have you tried both ports on the Jackery?

The specs should be the same, but you would need to consult the order page from where you purchased it to make sure it supports 100W output on the USB-C ports.

For product support, reach out to Jackery or the store you bought it from to see about troubleshooting advice or even a replacement. If you have access to a new Starlink USB-C cable to try, that would basically eliminate the only other cause of this failure.

The cable works perfectly, the issue really comes from the Jackery.

I just ordered a new one, will run a new test with the brand-new unit (even though the one I already have is only 2 months old) and see if the problem happens again.

Quick feedback:

Apparently, the problem is indeed with the EU/FR Jackery (firmware restricted to meet CE safety standards).

Never mind, I'll find another model (import, I imagine) so I can properly power my Starklink Mini.

Psychopote Thanks for the follow up! Good to know for EU customers, and I will start adding that caveat when I recommend this power bank.
